OAKLAND, Calif., Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Running backs DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard will be in for extra work Sunday when the Oakland Raiders battle the San Diego Chargers.

The Raiders announced Friday that Latavius Murray will miss the game because of a toe injury. Murray did not practice this week. Murray has 40 carries for 172 yards and three touchdowns this season. He also has 10 receptions for 63 yards.

Washington has 23 carries for 147 yards this season but has yet to score a touchdown. He also has six receptions for 37 yards.

The Chargers are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to running backs this season. I like Washington as a mid-level RB2 this week. He could have multi-week value if Murray's turf toe injury lingers. Richard is worth a waiver pick up, but don't slide him into your lineup until we get to see how this workload situation unfolds.
