Luc Mbah a Moute may have dodged a bullet with his shoulder injury.

An MRI exam on Mbah a Moute's right shoulder revealed no significant damage and the Houston Rockets forward could return within two to three weeks, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Thursday.

Mbah a Moute hurt his shoulder on a driving dunk late in the second quarter of Wednesday's 108-96 win against Charlotte. He finished with two points, one rebound and an assist in nine minutes.

After the dunk, Mbah a Moute fell instantly to the floor and began clutching his shoulder. He was offered a stretcher, but eventually left the court under his own power.

The 31-year-old and 11-year veteran is averaging 6.8 points and 3.4 through 24 games with the Rockets this season, his first with Houston. Mbah a Moute has lifetime averages of 6.3 points and 4.2 boards.

Houston (22-4) has won a league-best 11 consecutive games and sits atop the Western Conference.
