The Cleveland Cavaliers plan to sit LeBron James and Kyrie Irving for Monday night's road game against the Miami Heat.

The Cavs officially announced James and Irving as out and the third member of the Big 3 -- Kevin Love -- as questionable for the game at AmericanAirlines Arena,

The team apparently decided to give the star players rest before the playoffs over continuing the fight for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.

James played 47 minutes before fouling out in Sunday night's stunning 28-point collapse, the Cavs losing 126-125 in overtime to the Atlanta Hawks. Irving played 45 minutes and Love 42.

Cleveland (51-29) is tied for first place with the Boston Celtics, who play the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night.

The Cavaliers listed a projected starting lineup of Deron Williams at point guard, J.R. Smith at shooting guard, Channing Frye at center, Richard Jefferson at power forward and Iman Shumpert at small forward.
