MIAMI, June 18 (UPI) -- Following a successful run in the Eastern Conference playoffs, Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra is settling down in more ways than one.

Spoelstra, 45, is set to marry former Heat cheerleader Nikki Sapp on July 1. Now the former bachelor is ditching his pad for a lavish South Florida estate.

According to the Miami Herald, Spoelstra splurged on a $2.6 million historic home in the Coconut Grove neighborhood. The Herald reports that Spoelstra purchased the home on May 26.

The Heat were knocked out of the playoffs, and a chance to face off against LeBron James, by the Toronto Raptors.

Spoelstra's new home is 5,400 sq. ft. and features an oak tree canopy. The 1937 home is an upgrade from his two-bedroom condo at the residences at the Ritz-Carlton, located in the same section of Miami. He also bought a Hawaiian home from his father in 2010, according to Gossip Extra.

The two-time NBA championship coach has a 399-241 career record.
