CLEVELAND, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving might not be healthy enough to lace-up on the court, but he is stepping up his shoe game.

Nike debuted a pair of signature Kyrie Irving basketball shoes, called the 'KYRIE 2,' Wednesday on its website.

"Cleveland point guard Kyrie Irving pushes the boundaries of Sir Isaac Newton's laws of motion in ways that Dr. James Naismith, credited with inventing the game of basketball, never would have imagined," Nike's release said. "This movement informs the unique architecture of Irving's second signature shoe, the KYRIE 2, complete with a first-of-its-kind curved midsole and outsole, designed to enhance intense banking and cutting."

The Nike release claims the shoes are "informed" by Irving's "masterful movement."

Nike then explains how to shows perform during Irving's "killer crossover dribble, unstoppable pull-up jumper, and unrelenting drive to the hole.
