NBA: Washington 106, Detroit 99

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- John Wall scored nine of his 29 points during a fourth-quarter surge Monday, sending Washington past Detroit 106-99 for a home-and-home sweep.

Wall's contributions enabled the Wizards to outscore the Pistons 28-12 down the stretch and pull away for the victory

Washington was coming off a 106-82 victory at Detroit Saturday.

Trevor Ariza supplied 15 points with 11 rebounds and Bradley Beal added 13 points as the Wizards notched a fifth triumph in six games overall.

The Pistons dropped fourth straight at home despite 22 points and 10 rebounds from Greg Monroe.

Brandon Jennings provided 15 points and 14 assists.

Rookie Kentavious Caldwell-Pope netted a career-high 17 points for Detroit.
