SUNRISE, Fla., Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Jonathan Toews scored in regulation and added another tally in a shootout Tuesday, boosting the Chicago Blackhawks over Florida 3-2.
Patrick Sharp also found the net in the tiebreaker, which was made necessary after Chicago's Patrick Kane hit the post on a potential game-winning breakaway late in overtime.

Bryan Bickell scored in the second period to produce a 2-0 Blackhawks lead, but Tomas Fleischmann and Dmitry Kulikov each scored in final period to earn a point for the Panthers.
Corey Crawford made 20 saves for Chicago.
Goalie Tim Thomas turned aside 25-of-27 shots for Florida before leaving with an injury with 3 minutes left in regulation.
Jacob Markstrom replaced him and was saddled with the loss.
