DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Aug. 19 (UPI) -- I.K. Kim moves to No. 8 in Monday's update of the world women's golf rankings.

There was no LPGA tournament this past week as the tour took a break for the Solheim Cup. The European team posted an 18-10 win over the United States -- the most lopsided result in the history of the event.

It was the first European victory on a U.S. course but the United States still holds an 8-5 lead in the all-time competition.

Kim goes from 10th to eighth in the rankings due to points adjustments from older tournament results. She jumps past Catriona Matthew, who is now ninth, and Jiyai Shin, who drops to 10th. Kim's rankings points average is 5.55, just 0.12 ahead of Shin.

Those were the only changes in the Top 10, which continues to be led by a large margin by Inbee Park. U.S. golfer Stacy Lewis, who won 1 1/2 points in the Solheim Cup, remains second and Suzann Pettersen, who had 2 1/2 points over the weekend, is third.
