MLB: Baltimore 8, Colorado 4

BALTIMORE, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Brian Roberts and Manny Machado each had a two-run double during a big third inning that carried Baltimore to an 8-4 interleague win over Colorado Saturday.

The score was tied 1-1 before the Orioles erupted for seven runs in the third, sending 12 men to the plate while banging out six hits, drawing two walks and benefiting from an error by Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki.

Adam Jones went 3-for-5 with with an RBI while Chris Davis and Nick Markakis each drove in a run for Baltimore, which snapped a four-game losing streak.

Bud Norris (9-10) collected the victory, yielding four runs on nine hits over 5 2/3 innings. He walked three and struck out five.

Colorado rookie Chad Bettis (0-2), making his fourth major-league start, was pounded for eight runs (only two earned) on seven hits, lasting just 2 2/3 innings.

Dexter Fowler went 2-for-4 with two RBI for the Rockies.
