Frost rolls to Toshiba Classic victory

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., March 17 (UPI) -- David Frost parlayed a one-stroke lead into a five-shot victory Toshiba Classic Sunday, thanks to a final-round 6-under-par 65.

Frost, who led 2010 winner Fred Couples by a single stroke coming into Sunday, cruised to the victory, finishing at 19-under-par 194 to tie a tournament record and notch his fourth career Champions Tour win.

Couples managed a 2-under 69 at Newport Beach Country Club to end in second place at 14-under.

Sharing third at minus-11 were Peter Senior -- who recorded an eagle on the 18th for a 5-under 66 -- and Jay Haas (67).

Tom Watson (66) claimed fifth one shot farther back.
