MIAMI, July 14 (UPI) -- Mark Buehrle stifled the Nationals on one run over seven innings Saturday, staking the Miami Marlins to a 2-1 victory over Washington.
Buehrle (9-8) won for the fourth time in four starts, allowing six hits and a pair of walks while striking out seven. The veteran left-hander has yielded only three runs over 28 2/3 innings during the span.
Steve Cishek recorded the final five outs to gain his second save as the Marlins evened their four-game series with the Nationals at one win apiece.
Carlos Lee and John Buck supplied run-scoring singles in the victory.
Washington's Gio Gonzalez (12-4) saw his personal four-start winning streak snapped despite surrendering only two runs on five hits over six full frames.
Jesus Flores went 2-for-3 with an RBI to provide the only offense for the National League East-leading Nationals.
