COL BKB (W): Oklahoma St. 73, San Diego 57

STILLWATER, Okla., March 28 (UPI) -- A dominant inside effort from Toni Young Wednesday sent Oklahoma State into the finals of the Women's NIT with a 73-57 triumph over San Diego.

Oklahoma State will be the home team for the tournament's championship game Saturday, in which the Cowgirls will meet James Madison.

The Cowgirls improved to 21-12 during a season in which head Coach Kurt Budke and assistant Miranda Serna were killed in a plane crash.

Young scored 27 points, a season-best for her, hitting 13-of-20 shots from the field. Liz Donohoe added 20 points for Oklahoma State and Tiffany Bias had 12. The Cowgirls shot 51.9 percent from the field.

Morgan Woodrow scored 13 for San Diego (26-9).
