NBA: Philadelphia 96, Indiana 86

PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Andre Iguodala pumped in 20 points Monday and the Philadelphia 76ers extended their best start in 11 years with a 96-86 victory over Indiana.

Iguodala gathered nine rebounds and dished out five assists while Lou Williams added 13 points and six assists for the Sixers, who have won five straight.

Jrue Holiday, Spencer Hawes and Thaddeus Young each scored 12 points, enabling Philadelphia (6-2) to extend its best start to a season since going 10-0 to start the 2000-01 campaign.

The Pacers were playing without forward Danny Granger, who missed the game due to food poisoning, and had a two-game winning streak snapped.

Roy Hibbert led Indiana with 19 points and eight rebounds while David West added 15 and 11.
