PHOENIX, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Jared Dudley hit 7-of-11 from the field and scored 19 points Friday in helping the Phoenix Suns overwhelm cold-shooting Portland 102-77.
The Suns dominated every phase while climbing out of the cellar in the Pacific Division. Phoenix had lost four of its first six games.

Steve Nash had 17 points and nine assists for the Suns, Shannon Brown added 14 and Markieff Morris had 13.
Portland, which had won two in a row, made only 32 percent of its field goal attempts and was 2-of-19 from 3-point range. LaMarcus Aldridge led the Trail Blazers with 14 points.
Portland's starters hit a mere 12-of-36 field goal tries and Gerald Wallace missed all six of his attempts.
