Francisco had been on the 15-day DL with a right shoulder strain. During a rehab assignment with Class A Dunedin, he gave up six runs in five innings.

During Francisco's absence, Jon Rauch logged three saves for the Jays.

Litsch was 1-1 with a 3.63 ERA in 17 1/3 innings.

Toronto opens a five-game homestand against the New York Yankees Tuesday night after finishing a 3-7 road trip.
