ARLINGTON, Texas, April 19 (UPI) -- C.J. Wilson hurled seven innings of one-run ball and Adrian Beltre hit a three-run homer Monday in the Texas Rangers' 7-1 win over the Los Angeles Angels.
Wilson (2-0) yielded nine hits but walked only one batter while striking out nine for the Rangers, who won for only the second time in six games following a 9-1 start.

Beltre's blast highlighted a four-run fifth-inning outburst while Mitch Moreland added a solo homer and drove in three runs as Texas established a one-game lead over the Angels in the American League West.
Los Angeles starter Ervin Santana (0-2) was tagged for six runs on 10 hits over four innings.
Howie Kendrick collected a pair of hits and drove in a run for the Angels.
