NBA: New York 128, San Antonio 115

NEW YORK, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Wilson Chandler poured in 31 points Tuesday and the New York Knicks handed San Antonio only its second loss in 16 games with a 128-115 decision.

Chandler went 13-of-19 from the field, adding nine rebounds and four assists, and Amare Stoudemire contributed 28 points, nine boards, six assists and three blocks for the Knicks, who posted their fourth win in six games.

Raymond Felton chipped in with 28 points and seven assists for the victors.

Tony Parker scored 26 points and DeJuan Blair had 17 points and eight rebounds for the Spurs, who at 29-4 came into the game aiming to tie 1996-97 Chicago Bulls and the 2007-08 Boston Celtics for the second-best 34-game start in NBA history.
