NHL: Florida 6, Buffalo 2

SUNRISE, Fla., Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Marty Reasoner scored two of Florida's four first-period goals Friday, sending the Panthers to a 6-2 rout of Buffalo.

Florida won for the first time in three games, getting 41 saves from Tomas Vokoun.

The Panthers took a 5-0 lead before Buffalo finally got on the board with a slapshot from Derek Roy with 19 seconds left in the second period.

Ryan Miller gave up four goals on 10 shots in the opening stanza and was then removed in favor of Patrick Lalime, who made 14 saves over the final two periods.

Bryan McCabe and David Booth produced the other two Florida goals in the first period.
