BOSTON, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Carolina's Cam Ward blocked 36 shots in a 3-0 Hurricanes victory Friday over the Boston Bruins.
The shutout was the first this season for the 26-year-old goaltender.

Jeff Skinner scored on a wrist shot near the end of the first period, and Tuomo Ruutu tipped in a shot and Jussi Jokinen fired in the third goal for Carolina in the second.
The Panthers, getting each goal on a power play, ended a three-game slide.
Ruutu and Skinner each contributed an assist.
Tim Thomas blocked 18 shots for the Bruins, who have lost three of their last four contests.
