NBA: Dallas 98, New Orleans 95

DALLAS, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Jason Terry's basket with 34.9 seconds left in the game Monday boosted the Dallas Mavericks to a 98-95 decision over New Orleans.

After Terry gave Dallas the lead, the Hornets launched three unsuccessful 3-point tries before ultimately falling for the first time this season following a club-record season-opening eight-game winning streak.

Terry led the Mavs with 26 points and Dirk Nowitzki contributed 25 points and 10 rebounds in Dallas' fourth straight win.

Chris Paul popped in 22 points and handed off nine assists and Peja Stojakovic collected 17 points for New Orleans.
