NBA: Dallas 99, Philadelphia 90

DALLAS, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Backup guard J.J. Barea led the way with 19 points Friday and the Dallas Mavericks pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 99-90 win over Philadelphia.

The 76ers rallied to tie the game with less than 2 minutes remaining in the third period but then could score just four points during the first half of the fourth quarter.

Dirk Nowitzki and Shawn Marion both had 16 points in the third straight victory for the Mavericks. Dallas shot only 44 percent from the field but the Mavericks turned the ball over just 10 times and they limited the 76ers to two 3-pointers in 16 attempts.

Thaddeus Young scored 17 points off the bench to lead Philadelphia, a winner of just two games this year.
