Se Ri Pak takes lead on LPGA Tour

MOBILE, Ala., May 14 (UPI) -- Se Ri Pak, a member of the LPGA Hall of Fame, shot a 6-under 66 Friday that put her one shot in front at the midway point of the Bell Micro Classic.

Pak finished 36 holes at The Crossings Course at Magnolia Grove with a 9-under 135 total. Brittany Lincicome and Wendy Ward shared second place at 136.

Suzann Pettersen, ranked fourth in the world, and first-round leader Azahara Munoz were among those at 138.

Jiyai Shin, who moved into the top position in the world rankings with the retirement of Lorena Ochoa, was tied for 13th place at 140. Defending champion Angela Stanford was also at 140.

Pak has won 24 times on the LPGA Tour but has not had a victory in three years. Her best finish this season has been a tie for 15th at the Kraft Nabisco Championship last month.
