NHL: Florida 3, Ottawa 0

OTTAWA, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Rostislav Olesz scored two goals and Tomas Vokoun turned away 24 shots to lead the Florida Panthers to a 4-0 win over the Ottawa Senators Saturday.

Nathan Horton scored Florida's third goal in support of Vokoun, who recorded his fourth career shutout.

Brian Elliott faced only 19 shots, but it was enough to doom Ottawa to their third consecutive loss.

Horton scored the first goal of the night on a rebound off a shot by Dennis Seidenberg at 11:54 of the first period. Vokoun faced only four shots in the period.

Olesz did his damage in the second period with goals at 13:45 and 16:08 to make it 3-0.

The Senators outshot Florida 12-5 in the third period but could not get anything past Vokoun.
