NHL: Vancouver 4, Phoenix 0

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Alexandre Burrows had a hat trick and Roberto Luongo had 31 saves for his 50th career shutout Thursday in the Vancouver Canucks 4-0 win over Phoenix.

It was Burrows' second hat trick in as many games. Mikael Samuelsson scored a goal, Henrik Sedin had three assists and Daniel Sedin had two assists for Vancouver.

With their fourth straight win -- and a record of 13-4-1 in December and January -- the Canucks have climbed into a first-place tie with the Calgary Flames in the Northwest Division.

Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 20 shots for the Coyotes, who have lost three of their last four games.
