MLB: Cincinnati 6, Milwaukee 3

CINCINNATI, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Bronson Arroyo pitched six innings and hit a two-run double Monday to lead the Cincinnati Reds to a 6-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.

Arroyo (10-8) gave up just one run on four hits with a pair of walks and six strikeouts for the Reds, who had lost eight of nine going into the game. Jay Bruce hit a two-run home run in the win.

Mike Cameron and Ryan Braun each hit solo home runs for Milwaukee.

Manny Parra (9-5) got the loss after he allowed six runs on four hits with four walks for the Brewers, who have lost seven of their last nine games.

Milwaukee is 5 1/2 games behind the Chicago Cubs for first place in the NL Central and holds a half-game lead on St. Louis for the NL wild-card spot.
