ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., June 1 (UPI) -- A solo home run by Gabe Gross in the bottom of the 10th inning Sunday lifted Tampa Bay to a 4-3 win over the Chicago White Sox.
It was the second time this weekend Tampa Bay won with a walk-off solo homer. Designated hitter Cliff Floyd hit one Friday night in a 2-1 victory.
Gross also hit a game-tying two-run triple in the fifth Sunday.
Carlos Pena had one RBI and Shawn Riggans also had two hits for the AL East-leading Rays, who have won three in a row.
Winner J.P. Howell (4-0) pitched two scoreless innings.
Chicago's Alexei Ramirez had three hits and two RBI. Orlando Cabrera drove in a run.
A.J. Pierzynski also had three hits and Jim Thome two for the White Sox, who left 10 men on base and went 3-4 in a seven-game road trip.
The losing pitcher was Matt Thornton (1-1).
