MLB: Detroit 6, LA Angels 4

DETROIT, April 26 (UPI) -- Magglio Ordonez and Placido Polanco drove in two runs each Saturday, fueling Detroit's 6-4 win over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Ordonez hit RBI doubles in the bottom of the first and seventh innings and Polanco hit a two-run single in the fifth.

Jacque Jones had one RBI and a run scored on Maicer Izturis' seventh inning throwing error.

Polanco and Curtis Granderson both had two hits for the Tigers, who have won five of their last six games.

Starter Armando Galarraga, pitching in place of injured Dontrelle Willis, carried a no-hitter into the sixth before surrendering three runs -- one earned -- on three hits in six innings.

Closer Todd Jones earned his fourth save.

Izturis hit a two-run double and Chone Figgins added an RBI single in the seventh.

A run scored on Torii Hunter's double-play groundout in the eighth and Vladimir Guerrero had two hits.

The losing pitcher was Darren O'Day (0-1).
