The loss went to R.A. Dickey (0-1), who gave up eight hits and five runs over six innings.

Los Angeles jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first and went on to win for the fifth time in six games.

Chone Figgins and Gary Matthews singled and Vladimir Guerrero walked to load the bases with nobody out. After Dickey fanned Garret Anderson, Hunter doubled to left on a 1-2 pitch, emptying the bases.

Maicer Izturis and Mike Napoli had RBI singles in the sixth to give the Angels a 5-1 lead.

Richie Sexson drove in all of Seattle's runs with a solo homer in the second and a three-run blast in the seventh.

Sexson also came to the plate in the ninth with two out and the tying run on first, but Hunter reached over the fence in center to rob Sexson of a third home run on the night and end the game.
