NBA: Miami 75, New York 72

NEW YORK, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Jason Williams scored a go-ahead basket late in the fourth quarter Sunday to help the previously winless Miami Heat edge the New York Knicks, 75-72.

Williams, who scored 17 points, made a baseline jumper with 19.9 seconds remaining to give Miami a 73-72 lead, and then sank two free throws for the final score.

Miami's Udonis Haslem had 16 points and 16 rebounds. Shaquille O'Neal had 14 points and nine rebounds, and Ricky Davis scored 14 points for the Heat, who again played without star guard Dwyane Wade (shoulder).

New York's Eddy Curry had 19 points and six rebounds. David Lee had 14 points and 14 rebounds, Stephon Marbury had 14 points and six assists, while Jamaal Crawford had 13 points and four assists for the Knicks, who have dropped two in a row following two straight wins.
