SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Michael Cammalleri scored the first of four unanswered goals early in the second period Friday as Los Angeles whipped San Jose 5-2.
The teams meet eight times this year and four of those games will come this month. The Kings got off to a good start against San Jose this season after having lost 11 of their previous 14 meetings.
The Sharks scored the only goal of the first period, but Cammalleri tied it 1:43 into the second with his 11th of the season, a slap shot that got past Evgeni Nabokov.
Matt Moulson put the Kings in front at 14:36 of the second and Dustin Brown scored on a slap shot with 1:20 remaining in the period.
Ladislav Nagy scored at 6:10 of the fourth to give the Kings a 4-1 lead and, after Joe Thornton brought the Sharks within two, Brown scored into an empty net with 56 seconds to play.
Jean-Sebastien Aubin made 45 saves for the Kings, who won for the fourth time in five games.
