NHL: Anaheim 2, Boston 1

ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Francios Beauchmin scored with 6:25 remaining in the third period Wednesday as Anaheim celebrated its championship season by defeating Boston 2-1.

After playing their first five games on the road, two of which took place in London, the Ducks finally competed on their home ice for the first time since winning the Stanley Cup.

The Stanley Cup, Western Conference and Pacific Division championship banners were raised prior to the game.

After the festivities, it took Boston's Chuck Kobasew 65 seconds to cool off the celebration.

But Ryan Getzlaf tied it midway through the second period and Beauchemin won it with a slap shot that beat Tim Thomas.

Anaheim outshot Boston 30-19, with Ilya Bryzgalov making 18 saves for the Ducks.
