PHIL, Pa., Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Kaz Matsui Thursday hit a grand slam and knocked in five as Colorado blasted Philadelphia, 10-5, in Game 2 of their National League Division Series.
The light-hitting second baseman belted his first post-season grand slam with Colorado trailing, 3-2, with two outs in the top of the fourth.
Later, he smacked an RBI triple.
Colorado's Troy Tulowitzki and Matt Holliday hit back-to-back solo homers in the first.
Matsui had three hits, while Holliday and Yorvit Torrealba had two hits and two RBI as the Rockies took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series.
The winner was Josh Fogg (11-9).
Manny Corpas earned his second save.
Philadelphia's Jimmy Rollins hit a solo homer and had four RBI.
Ryan Howard added a solo homer, but Philadelphia's bullpen yielded 10 earned runs, nine hits, and two walks in 5 2/3 innings.
Rollins had two hits for the Phillies, who need a win Saturday at Colorado in Game 3 to stay alive.
The loser was Kyle Kendrick (0-1).
