MLBL N.Y. Yankees 6, Detroit 2

NEW YORK, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Jorge Posada was 3-for-4, with a home run and two runs scored Saturday afternoon, as the New York Yankees posted a 5-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers.

Roger Clemens (5-5), who returned to the Yankees after serving a five-game suspension, gave up two runs on 10 hits in six innings and had eight strikeouts.

Clemens was suspended for hitting Toronto's Alex Rios in a game on Aug. 7 after a warning to both clubs.

Bobby Abreu added a two-run homer for the Yankees. Rookie Cameron Maybin went 2-for-3 with a single and home run to get his first hit in the majors after being called up from the minors Friday.

Chad Durbin (7-6) started for Detroit and gave up four runs on six hits in five-plus innings.
