MLB: Philadelphia 10, St. Louis 4

PHILADELPHIA, July 14 (UPI) -- Pat Burrell had three hits and four RBI Saturday afternoon as the Philadelphia Phillies trounced St. Louis, 10-4.

Burrell's two-run double in the fifth and two-run single in the sixth helped Philadelphia break the contest open.

Philadelphia's Jimmy Rollins, Aaron Rowand and Ryan Howard all hit solo home runs. Chase Utley had two hits and two RBI, Carlos Ruiz drove in one run, while Rollins and Howard had three hits apiece for the Phillies, who have plated 23 runs in the past two games against St. Louis pitchers -- both wins.

Winner Cole Hamels (11-4) surrendered four earned runs and eight hits in six innings.

St. Louis' Albert Pujols hit his 18th homer, a solo blast in the third. Three others had one RBI, and Pujols was among three players with two hits for the Cardinals, who have dropped four of five.

Losing pitcher Mike Maroth (0-2) gave up eight runs -- six earned -- and nine hits in five innings.
