MLB: Tampa Bay 9, LA Dodgers 4

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., June 24 (UPI) -- Ty Wigginton hit a solo homer and drove in two runs Sunday as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 9-4.

Wigginton homered in the second, and had an RBI single in the sixth, when he also scored on a wild pitch by Rudy Seanez.

Carl Crawford and Delmon Young also had two RBI each; Brendan Harris added an RBI single; two runs scored on errors; and Dioner Navarro had a run and two hits for the Devil Rays -- who beat the Dodgers twice in the three-game weekend series.

Winner Edwin Jackson (1-8) recorded his first victory in two years, giving up two earned runs and nine hits in six innings.

Both Luis Gonzalez and James Loney hit two-run homers for the Dodgers, who have lost three of their last five games.

Loser Hong-Chih Kuo (1-3) surrendered three earned runs and four hits in 5 1/3 innings, with one walk and eight strikeouts.

Reliever Joe Beimel allowed five runs in the seventh.
