KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 16 (UPI) -- Miguel Cabrera hit two homers and Miguel Olivo was 5-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored Saturday as the Florida Marlins out-slugged Kansas City, 9-8.

Cabrera matched a season-high with his four RBI and Olivo had two doubles and three singles, tying a Marlins' club record for base-hits.

Rick Vanden Hurk (2-2) went six innings, allowing six runs on seven hits, while walking two and striking out seven.

Kevin Gregg pitched the ninth to earn his 11th save in 11 chances.

John Buck hit two home runs and David DeJesus and Mike Sweeney each had two RBI for the Royals, who lost for just the second time in six games.

Jorge De La Rosa (4-7) lasted 4 2/3 innings, allowing seven runs on 13 hits.
