MLB: Seattle 5, Chicago Cubs 3 (13 inn.)

CHICAGO, June 13 (UPI) -- Willie Bloomquist drove in the go-ahead run in the 13th inning Tuesday, bringing the Seattle to a 5-3 victory over the Chicago Cubs.

Jose Guillen homered and Kenji Johjima went 3-for-6 and scored two runs for the Mariners, who have won nine of 10.

Derrek Lee drove in two runs for Chicago, which has dropped three of four. Michael Barrett drove in the tying run in the eighth inning, but his drop of a throw at the plate in the last inning proved to be costly for the Cubs.

Pinch-hitter Jamie Burke added an RBI single, increasing the lead to 5-3.

J.J. Putz worked the bottom of the frame for his 19th consecutive save. Eric O'Flaherty (3-0) tossed 2 2/3 innings of one-hit ball for the win. Seattle starter Jarrod Washburn went six innings, allowing two runs on five hits, striking out four and walking five.

Ohman (0-4) took the loss, yielding two runs on three hits in 1 2/3 innings. Cubs starter Rich Hill was charged with three runs on eight hits, striking out four and walking one over 6 2/3 innings.
