CHICAGO, May 10 (UPI) -- Tayshaun Prince and Chauncey Billups led a second-half surge Thursday, rallying Detroit past Chicago 81-74 and closing in on the conference finals.

The Pistons took a 3-0 lead in the second-round series and will have a chance to finish off the Bulls in Chicago Sunday. No NBA team has ever overcome a 3-0 deficit to win a playoff series.

Chicago owned a 44-28 halftime lead after having limited Detroit to 10 second-quarter points and the Bulls led by as many as 19 in the third period.

Billups gave Detroit the lead for good with a three-pointer five minutes deep in the fourth period.

Prince led the way with 23 points and 11 rebounds, while Billups scored 21 points. Rasheed Wallace and Richard Hamilton both had 16.
