NBA: Detroit 93, Orlando 77

ORLANDO, Fla., April 26 (UPI) -- Tayshaun Prince scored 23 points Thursday night to lead Detroit past Orlando, 93-77, for a three-games-to-none lead in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.

The game was tied at 23 before Detroit seized control. The Pistons led at the half, 48-42.

The lead grew to 10 points, 71-61, after the third quarter, and was as many as 18 points before the game ended.

Chauncey Billups totaled 21 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals; Chris Webber and Rasheed Wallace scored 15 points apiece; and Richard Hamilton had 10 points and five rebounds for the Pistons -- who can close out Orlando with a win in Game 4 at Orlando Saturday afternoon.

Jameer Nelson led Orlando with a game-high 27 points, three rebounds and four assists.

Dwight Howard had 11 points and 12 rebounds; Darko Milicic scored 11; and Hedo Turkoglu added 10 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the Magic.
