MLB: L.A. Angels 6, Seattle 1

ANAHEIM, Calif., April 23 (UPI) -- Ervin Santana gave one earned run and six hits in seven innings Sunday as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim beat Seattle, 6-1.

Santana (2-2) walked one batter and struck out five and rose to 21-5 all-time at Angel Stadium.

Garret Anderson hit an RBI double and a sacrifice fly, Gary Matthews, Jr. also hit an RBI double, one run scored on a fielding error by Yuniesky Betancourt, Orlando Cabrera scored twice, Casey Kotchman tripled in a run and had two hits, while Matthews and Vladimir Guerrero also had two hits for the Angels, who have a three-game winning streak.

Adrian Beltre accounted for the lone run with a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning, and no player had more than one hit for the Mariners, who have a six-game losing streak.

Losing pitcher Jeff Weaver (0-3) was tagged for three earned runs and seven hits in only three innings with no walks and three strikeouts.
