NBA: Chicago 95, Boston 87

CHICAGO, March 14 (UPI) -- Chicago defeated Boston, 95-87, Tuesday as rookie Tyrus Thomas tallied 23 points and nine rebounds.

Luol Deng and Ben Wallace added 19 points apiece in Chicago's victory. Wallace added to his season high point total with 16 rebounds, four assists and three blocks. Kirk Hinrich scored 15 points with six boards and six assists, and Ben Gordon contributed 11 points.

It was Chicago's third straight win overall and its eighth in a row over Boston.

For the Celtics, who have lost two straight: Paul Pierce scored a game-high 24 points, and Delonte West and Al Jefferson contributed 19 points apiece.
