Calcavecchia and Slocum share PODS lead

PALM HARBOR, Fla., March 10 (UPI) -- Mark Calcavecchia made a 20-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole Saturday for a course-record 62 and a share of the lead of the PODS Championship.

After tying the course record, Calcavecchia waited nearly three hours for Heath Slocum, in the final group, to tie him for the third-round lead. Slocum also birdied the 18th to post a 4-under 67.

Slocum and Calcavecchia are at 9-under 204 for a one-shot lead over defending champion K.J. Choi, who also shot a 67 Saturday.

Chris DiMarco (69), Pat Perez (69), Brian Gay (66) and Lucas Glover (67) are tied for fourth at 207.
