NBA: LA Lakers 97, LA Clippers 88

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant had 29 points on 11-of-23 shooting from the floor and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line Saturday night as the LA Lakers beat the LA Clippers, 97-88.

Lamar Odom finished with 18 points and eight rebounds for the Lakers, before fouling out in the fourth quarter. Smush Parker scored 11 and Vladimir Radmanovic had 10 for the Lakers -- who out-scored the Clippers, 27-17, in the second period to take a 47-39 halftime lead.

Elton Brand finished with 17 points and eight rebounds, and Cuttino Mobley scored 17 for the Clippers, who lost for the sixth time in seven games. Sam Cassell scored 16, Corey Maggette had 15 and Chris Kaman pulled down 12 rebounds for the Clippers.

The Clippers' Shaun Livingston sank two free throws with less than a minute to play to cut the lead to 90-83, but Bryant hit a three-pointer and four free throws the rest of the way to put the game away for the Lakers.
