NBA: Atlanta 111, Toronto 102

TORONTO, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Josh Smith scored 20 of his 29 points in the second half Friday night as Atlanta beat the Toronto Raptors, 111-102.

Joe Johnson had 34 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Josh Childress had 16 points and five rebounds, and Tyronn Lue had 11 points, four assists and four rebounds for the Hawks, who have won four of their last five games.

Atlanta's 4-1 record represents the team's best start since the 1998-99 season.

Chris Bosh had 19 points and 17 rebounds, Mo Peterson had 18 points and six rebounds, and T.J. Ford had 17 points and 11 assists. Fred Jones had 17 points, two rebounds and three assists for the Raptors, who have dropped two of their last three games.

Atlanta led after every quarter, held a 47-38 halftime lead, and out-rebounded Toronto, 49-40.
