NHL: Dallas 4, Los Angeles 1

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Captain Brenden Morrow scored a pair of power-play goals as the Dallas Stars downed the Kings, 4-1, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Mike Ribeiro and Jere Lehtinen also scored Saturday night for the undefeated Stars. Marty Turco stopped 23 shots for career win No. 141, matching Gilles Meloche's third-place standing on Dallas' all-time list.

Michael Cammalleri scored Los Angeles' lone tally and Mathieu Garon allowed all four goals on 28 shots faced for the Kings, who have lost two straight, both at home to the Stars.

Ribeiro and Morrow had a pair of power-play goals in the first. After Ribeiro's first goal of the season with 6:16 left in the frame, Morrow tipped a point shot past Garon 1 1/2 minutes later for the 2-0 edge.

Lehtinen made it 3-0 at 12:18 of the second as he took a pass from Jussi Jokinen in the slot before whipping a shot past Garon. Morrow's second goal was less than a minute later.

Cammalleri spoiled Turco's shutout bid with a power-play goal with 2:43 remaining.
