MLB: Houston 3, Milwaukee 1

HOUSTON, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Roger Clemens got his 345th career victory Sunday afternoon as Houston beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 3-1.

Adam Everett hit a two-run double; Jason Lane drew a bases loaded walk; and Willy Taveras had a run and two of the four hits for the Astros (59-65), who won for only the third time in their last 10 games.

In seven innings, the 44-year-old Clemens (5-4) scattered one run and six hits with no walks and seven strikeouts.

He has given up three or fewer runs in 11 of his 12 starts this season.

Dan Wheeler earned his fourth save.

Corey Hart hit a solo home run and had two hits; while Tony Graffanino had three hits for the Brewers (59-65), who had won their previous two games.

Losing pitcher Doug Davis (9-7) yielded only three runs and three hits in six innings with four walks and seven strikeouts.
