MLB: Milwaukee 12, Pittsburgh 8

MILWAUKEE, July 24 (UPI) -- Bill Hall hit a pair of two-run homers Monday as the Milwaukee Brewers posted a 12-8 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Carlos Lee was 3-for-3 with a two-run homer and Jeff Cirillo went 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored for the Brewers.

Doug Davis (7-9) won his first game in four starts despite giving up six runs on 10 hits in six innings.

Jason Bay went 4-for-4 with a two-run homer and three runs scored, and Ronny Paulino added three hits and two RBI for the Pirates, who have lost their last four games.

Zach Duke (7-9) gave up eight runs -- six earned -- on eight hits in just 2 1/3 innings, his shortest outing of the season.
