MLB: Toronto 11, Kansas City 3

KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 9 (UPI) -- Troy Glaus hammered a three-run homer in the first inning Sunday afternoon to start Toronto on its way to an 11-3 rout of Kansas City.

Eric Hinske hit a solo homer; Bengie Molina hit a two-run blast; Aaron Hill had two runs, four hits and two RBI; Shea Hillenbrand had one run, two hits and two RBI; Reed Johnson had one run, two hits and one RBI; and John McDonald had two runs and three hits for the Blue Jays (49-39), who have split their last four games.

Winning pitcher Roy Halladay (12-2) became the majors' first 12-game winner of the season. He allowed just one run and four hits in seven innings with one walk and six strikeouts.

Emil Brown hit an RBI groundout, while both Doug Mientkiewicz and Angel Berroa hit RBI singles for the Royals (31-56), who have lost two in a row.

The loser was Jimmy Gobble (3-2).
