MLB: Detroit 6, Baltimore 3

BALTIMORE, May 10 (UPI) -- Brandon Inge and Curtis Granderson hit back-to-back home runs in a four-run seventh inning Wednesday night as Detroit beat the Baltimore Orioles, 6-3.

Granderson had two hits, one run and an RBI; Magglio Ordonez and Carlos Guillen each knocked in a run; while Inge hit a three-run homer for the Tigers (21-13), who broke a three-game losing streak.

In 6 1/3 innings, winner Justin Verlander (4-3) yielded three runs and seven hits with three walks and four strikeouts. Todd Jones registered his seventh save.

Brandon Fahey had a career-high three hits; and Miguel Tejada; Luis Matos and Corey Patterson each had an RBI for the Orioles (15-20).

Baltimore has lost nine of its last 11 games.

Loser Rodrigo Lopez (1-5) yielded six runs and eight hits in six-plus innings with one walk and seven strikeouts.
