MINNEAPOLIS, May 6 (UPI) -- Magglio Ordonez had three hits, including a home run and three RBI Friday night as Detroit beat the Minnesota Twins, 9-6.
Craig Monroe and Brandon Inge also hit home runs; Ivan Rodriguez had two hits and two runs; and Curtis Granderson had two hits and one run for the Tigers (20-10).
Detroit has won seven of its last eight games.
Winner Kenny Rogers (5-2) gave up five runs and eight hits in five innings with to walks and no strikeouts. Todd Jones recorded his sixth save.
Torii Hunter had two hits, including a home run, and two RBI; Michael Cuddyer had three hits, one RBI and scored once; while Mike Redmond had two hits and scored twice for the Twins (11-18).
Minnesota has dropped two straight and six of its last eight games.
Losing pitcher Kyle Lohse fell to 1-3.
